With the traffic jam cleared up, you’re ready to enter the big city! Run around town and see some of the town’s sights. The biggest building in the city, the Monotoli headquarters, is now home to a familiar “friend” and his father — go pay them a visit for old times’ sake.

After you’ve been unceremoniously removed from the Monotoli building, check out the theater, when you’ll meet up with some real friends! Talk to the manager to find out about their latest money woes. Where could a kid find that much money? Head back to the mine in the desert, maybe Gerardo can help you out.

Unfortunately there’s a mole infestation in the desert gold mine, and only you can take ‘em out. There are five in all, but don’t get lost inside the maze-like caverns! If things get too confusing, check out this handy map to guide you through the cave. Once you’ve de-moled the mine, head back outside and save your game.

Challenges

No Freeze or Bottle Rockets on the Guardian Diggers.
Collect every item you can before you fight the moles.
Have the enemies surprise attack you every time.
Don’t use any Lifenoodles.
Don’t use the Exit Mouse. You don’t need his help to find your way out!
Apologize to each Guardian Digger every time you attack and ultimately defeat them. Explain that you don’t mean to remove them from their natural habitat, but it’s a necessary evil in order to save the world. Maybe if you can make them realize that Giygas is going to crush them if you don’t succeed, you can get them to cooperate.
