Today's Gameplay Point:


It's GROOOOOOVIN'! Today's GPP is another short one, but you'll still have to face the Shroooom!! Once you exterminate the hallucegentic fungi, collect the melody and head to Summers. Buy all the new weapons and items (if you can afford it), and play up until you eat the Magic Cake. Once you're playing as Poo, save your game.


Today's Challenges:


  • When fighting Shrooom!, get your whole party "mashroomized".
  • Once you arrive in Summers, get at least one character all the best equipment (at this point in the game).
  • Get the Xterminator Spray.
  • Buy every item at the restaurant.


Mother 2 Factoids:


As you can see, I steal all the 'Factoid' shots off of Tomato's M2EB site. Except I doctored this one a little. When Tony's "friend" calls you in Toto, he asks for the player's name. In Mother 2, he says that you can only spell your name in English, so don't spell it wrong. In EarthBound he just says not to spell it wrong. Also, (if you have eyes), you'll see that the letters are different, and the boxes that they're in are different sizes! Now you might be saying, "Why only in English?!". Well, you'll find out why in a later GPP.

Gameplay Hints/Tips:


Again, fire is good. Do you have a teddy bear with you? If you don't you might be wishing you brought one. The Teddy Bear has a good chance of getting the Shrooom's! spore attack. Therefore the rest of your party can remain sane. When fighting this fungus, just use Fire and PSI Special as fast as you can. Now when you arrive in Summers, you're going to want to be careful with what you spend your money on. Although the Diamond Bracelet looks powerful, you can get it for a lot less in Scaraba. Just keep that in mind.
